TotalEnergies Housing Cooperative’s Louisville gets IFC’s dual Certification for Sustainability

The Louisville mixed-use development, which serves as the flagship real estate initiative of TotalEnergies Staff Housing Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (TEHC), has received two Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies Certifications from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Last Thursday’s event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss urban development strategies capable of addressing climate challenges, as noted in an announcement.

“These accolades, awarded at the Future Cities – Africa Green Building Summit co-hosted by the Green Building Council Nigeria, underscore Louisville’s commitment to sustainability and excellence in green building practices,” the statement said.

It said before the awards, the firm was recognized for its advanced environmental alignment, significantly reducing water consumption, enhancing energy efficiency, and lowering embodied carbon in materials.

“Nestled within Eko Atlantic City in Victoria Island, Lagos, the Louisville mixed-use development – envisioned to span over 22,000m2 – aims to create a vibrant and sustainable urban environment that seamlessly combines residential and commercial spaces.”
