Senator Karimi to Empower 50 Women Cooperative Societies In Kogi West

Senator Sunday Karimi launched a N100 million small business funds scheme to empower 50 registered women cooperative societies in Kogi West.

This is in fulfillment of his campaign promise to support small businesses and start-ups.

The scheme will be managed by cooperative society leaders with expert guidance to enhance working capital for women-led organizations, promoting financial stability.

A committee has been set up to oversee the program aimed at benefiting women in Kogi West and boosting the region’s economic growth.

“The ultimate goal is to build robust cooperative societies among Kogi West women, enhance their capacities, and improve their livelihoods in small-scale businesses and agriculture.

“Senator Karimi believes that the N100 million support will be a game-changer for small-scale businesses in Kogi West, positioning them for long-term sustainability.

“This initiative demonstrates his unwavering commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises and supporting the economic empowerment of women in his constituency,” the statement read.
