Senate Press Corps Honors Minister of State for Agriculture, Sen. Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi CON

The Senate Press Corps recently honored the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi CON, with the “Award of Excellence For Strategic Synergy For Good Governance.” This prestigious award recognizes Senator Abdullahi’s outstanding contributions to the agricultural sector and his commitment to good governance

The prestigious award was presented to Dr. Abdullahi at an impressive ceremony held at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, on Monday, December 16, 2024. The event was attended by dignitaries from various sectors.

While receiving the award, Dr. Abdullahi expressed his gratitude to the Senate Press Corps for the honor. He reassured them of his commitment to maintaining a positive relationship with the media. Dr. Abdullahi likened the award to a boost of energy that would motivate him to do his best in public service.

The Minister of State dedicated the award to Nigerians who have been yearning for good governance. He acknowledged that achieving good governance is a challenging task, but expressed his appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to delivering good governance.

Dr. Abdullahi’s impressive political career spans over a decade. He served in the Eighth and Ninth Senate from 2015 to 2023, holding key positions such as Spokesman for the Eighth Senate and Deputy Chief Whip of the Ninth Senate. He was appointed Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security in August 2023
