This large, 12 inch vintage folk art sculptural object is handmade with joy and with hopes of their being able to tell a story representing a symbol of cultural heritage.
The roots of the “faceless” dolls are deeply intertwined with national identity, and each figure is a testament to the Dominican Republic’s rich artisan tradition. The doll is a unique piece with a Ref/Burnt Orange colored dress holding a bouquet and balancing a water urn on her head. She shows signs of vintage age and possibly a light repair or an under glaze crack, I’m not sure.
