Unique & hard to find - Vogue Jewelry Company (1930’s - 1977) astrological brooch celebrating the sign of Cancer, the crab (June 20th - July 22nd ).
Park Importing Company located in New York City, began producing costume jewelry under the “Vogue” label in 1936. The company owners, founders and the main designers were Harold Shapiro and his partners Jack Gilbert and George Grant. Vogue costume jewelry demonstrated originality, innovation of design and very high quality.
Marked “VOGUE JLRY” which indicates it’s an early piece & few are available on the market.
This pixie crab has a black rhinestone and gold finish.
