Great quality necklace and chain. Likely from Central America; that is where this semiprecious gemstone is found and the silver also matches that area. The pendant is a big cabochon of Obsidian which is very hard (no pun intended) so cutting and shaping it alone was an arduous task and that's not considering setting it in thick silver.
