This is an original Kay K5105 acoustic guitar, built in Chicago between 1959 and 1962. It features Kay's distinctive red-to-amber sunburst finish with a matching headstock, the original Kay pickguard, tuners, bridge, and interior factory stamp. These mid-century Kay acoustics have become increasingly collectible for their unique styling and warm, woody tone.
This guitar was recently played and evaluated at Guitar Center and was described as having surprisingly strong tone and good playability for a vintage Kay.
