Beautiful vintage Castilian Imports, Inc. hand-painted wooden dome-top box. Black painted finish with a colorful folk-art scene of a boat in swirling water in front of a castle, bordered by gold scrollwork. Ornate stamped metal latch and metal hinges. Interior is painted matte black – perfect for jewelry, keepsakes, letters, or decor.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage piece in good condition overall. Shows normal signs of age and use including edge wear to the paint, light surface scratches, patina and spotting to the latch, and wear to the paper maker’s label on the bottom (still reads “Castilian Imports, Inc., Item No. 4123”). Hinges are solid and the lid opens and closes smoothly. Please review all photos as they are part of the description.
