This doll was made in Chiclana de la Frontera Spain by the Marin doll factory which was established in 1928. The dolls were popular souvenirs and decorative keepsakes designed to honor traditional Spanish flamenco dance and Andalusian heritage. This doll is a figurine of a flamenco dancer recognized by her pose and the traditional tiered dress, often with polka dots and a fan.
