Vintage 1950s Lacquered Holly and Fruit Santa Elf/Mrs Claus Christmas Figures - Japan. Rare find mid-century pair of figures constructed of wire, lacquered holly leaves, fruit on a cut wood base covered with mica; arms appear as red candles. Santa figure comes with Mrs. Claus/or Elf figure with long eyelashes. Very retro for your holiday decor.
Prewoned in fair condition. The set is being 'SOLD as FOUND'; flocked hats show age-related wear, wear/cracks on leaves and fruit with paint wear; Mrs Claus shows damage to face (noted with arrows); Santa has a soiled wool fiber beard and the wood bases have edge cracks in bark. Labeled on underside 'Made in Japan'. Non-smoking home. Measures approx 7.5" H
