Hand worked vase in ancient Roman style, blue glass that stands approx 7" and about 4" widest point. This beautiful little vase is made in stylized amphora form of blue glass with rainbow shimmer.
Probably Scavo from Murano c1970-80's, tho not singed. The beautiful shape and color; a real eye-catcher in every ambience.
The processing in question (scavo) takes the name of excavation. Just to recall the vases that were produced in ancient Rome. A special corrosive chemical is used on the surface of the glass piece to dissolve part of the finish to give it an etched or corroded look. This glass usually has an iron oxide finish.
The vase is in well-kept used condition, with slight signs of wear.
