The Cincinnati Reds -Collage of -The Big Red Machine Years” 1970-1976”

It all started demolishing the first floor of a 1889 three story farm house. This Frame of wood is actually a Kitchen drawer from this house. It’s over 100 years old and made of Ceder and Pine. I sanded and sanded then painted the drawer with Red Barn paint mimicking the color of the barn in the backyard -then coated this antique drawer in polyurethane making the piece shine. I brushed resin over the sides and
Encapsulated all the cards in Resin in the process. I didn’t realize they would change positions when drying that’s why it’s not perfect. I also have a spot in bottom right that is thicker in Resin.
I’ve always loved the years of the BIG RED MACHINE when the GREAT EIGHT headed by Pete rose only lost 19 games out of 88 games played together in the 1975-76 seasons.I had collected many of the cards shown but the Black and White Pete Rose I found in this very drawer in the Old Kitchen which led to my idea. I will coat piece once more before selling. It’s roughly 3 feet by 2 feet.
