Southwestern sand painting wall clock featuring a Yei (Yeʼii) figure, inspired by Navajo (Diné) legend and symbolism associated with balance between Mother Earth and Father Sky.
The image itself is a true sand painting, not a print, framed for wall display. The sand painting panel measures approximately 8 x 8 inches and is housed in a shadowbox-style wooden frame marked Made in Mexico on the back. The overall framed size is approximately 9.75 x 9.75 inches, with a depth of about 2 inches, giving the piece dimensional presence.
A new quartz clock movement has been installed, and the clock has been tested and keeps accurate time.
A light pencil inscription on the back reads “Mother Earth / Father Sky", with a faint additional marking below that appears to read “by" or possible initials. No clear artist name is legible. This piece is offered as decorative, Navajo-inspired sand painting art and is not represented/known as ceremonial or tribally made.
