The 64 songs in this set capture Cheap Trick's spirit better than any other work...the band's edge, fun, humor, powerful sound, excitement, art, style, and magic. This package paints the metamorphosis from CT's early years, when they were most exuberant and their rawness was so charming, to the more polished style of the 1980's. In 1994 the CD "Woke Up With A Monster," hailed in a rougher sound for the band, but none of those songs are on here. This set ends with a few songs off "Busted," from 1990 and the 1995 song "Come On Christmas," done for a charity show. Most of CT's fan favorite songs are on these disks. I loved the many previously unreleased, live versions, demos, alternate versions, and B-sides. Be sure to listen to the end of every CD for band chatting, etc. The 39 page booklet that comes with this purchase is attractive and informative.
