This is a Chinese sky blue porcelain tripod center. 4.2” H * 4.85” Dia. Made in the early 19th century, a fine replica of the famous Long Quan Celadon Tripod Censer, which the original ones was made in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).
Background of the original piece:
The compressed globular body is moulded with a raised rib at the shoulder which connects to three raised lines running vertically from the shoulder to each conical foot. The straight neck supports a flattened everted mouth rim. It is covered overall in a pale celadon glaze thinning on the extremities.
