Brand new, apparently from a line that was never released / new deadstock. Designed by Bill Curry, the creator of the stemlite, in the 60s and distributed by Schoolhouse Electric.
Tranquilite sconces: These are the yellow pill shaped sconces. These are the ones that were never released, although a similar desk lamp was. These have an integrated switch and are for indoor use only.
