Mr. Peanut collectible cast iron bank

11" tall passed down by family, has been in my storage for 15 years. Not fake composite painted. Heavy cast iron. I have never attempted refurbish, however someone before me did as you can see the paint dripping on rear legs in pic #3. Rust on bottom can be seen in pic #4. I have always been told to leave such items in the condition they are in or you run the chance of devauluing them. Price includes shipping . The appraiser told me the value is in the eye of the purchaser and if they collect Mr. Peanut or not. Although he doubted it was an original, he said a steadfast collector would pay up to $800. It was only a verbal "appraisal" no paperwork, and I no longer have that appraisers business card. A patron at the same fundraiser offered me $300 right there, and I declined.
