Step back into the clean-cut cool of early 1960s fashion with this near-complete original Ken #782 “Striped Casuals” outfit from Mattel, released between 1961 and 1965. A fan-favorite in 12” Ken’s early wardrobe, this crisp and colorful set captures the effortless charm of vintage American style.
This ensemble includes Ken’s iconic multi-colored horizontal striped knit top with original “Ken” tag, coordinating red-and-olive striped socks, tailored beige twill pants with functioning metal zipper marked “YKK,” and a hard-to-find pair of two-tone brown and white Japan-stamped loafers. The top and socks match beautifully, while the pants retain their tailored Mod shape with working fly and belt loop flap.
Condition is excellent vintage throughout: zipper slides smoothly, no holes or major stains, socks have slight stretch wear, and shoes are still soft and squishy with clear “JAPAN” markings.
