This is "Andersen's Fairy Tales" by the great Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen. It was published circa 1935 by A. L. Burt in hardcover format, and has a frontispiece and jacket art by William Heath Robinson. These are reproductions of Robinson's work, and are not identified as by Robinson, and also, lack the clarity of the original illustrations. There are no other pictures in the book. All of the favorite fairy tales by Andersen are included, but also many of them that are included are not so well known, at least to English readers. The translator of the stories from the Danish to English is not credited. This edition is out of print. The book itself is clean and solid, while the dust-jacket is sadly in very poor condition
