The pattern was designed by Annette Honeywell and was first introduced in 1941 by Gladding, McBean & Company.
It became one of the best-selling dinnerware patterns in American history.
The pattern features a cream-colored background with pink roses, green leaves, and scalloped edges.
The Franciscan brand was acquired by Wedgwood in 1979, and the Desert Rose pattern was discontinued in 2013.
