Plasma cutting is used for fine/intricate cutting of steel and other metals of varying thicknesses. It is used in applications like HVAC, construction, fabrication, artwork, and many more. Plasma cutting uses compressed air and an electrical arc to cut. It is a very easy process to learn and is great for precise cuts. It is generally limited to 2" max cutting capacity. Using severely worn consumables can not only ruin a good piece of metal, it can cause expensive torch failures and unnecessary down time. Using incorrect consumables can lead to shortened parts life and reduced cut quality. These plasma cutting electrodes are made for use with all Forney plasma cutting torches.
