Up for consideration is this fine antique Ginori Doccia capodimonte. It depicts the centauromachy. A battle between the centaurs and lapiths at the wedding of king pierithous.
The centaurs were creatures known for drinking and raucous behavior. As the centaurs imbibed heavily at the wedding, they began misbehaving and attempted to abduct or attack the bride and her bridesmaids. A battle known as the centauromachy ensued, which is often depicted in Greek art and pottery.
This is 13.25 inches in height, 5.75 inches in width at handles and 5 inches in profile depth at the shoulders.
There is one small flaw, as shown in the last photo.
