Morganite brings out the feminine side in its wearer with its blushy peachy-pink sparkle and glow. First discovered in Madagascar in 1908, Tiffany's quickly marketed the gem here, naming the gem after JP Morgan, the American financier and avid gem collector. It is highly sought after for its color, its clarity and lack of inclusions, and its hardness (it is in the Beryl family, along with Emeralds and Aquamarines, it is a 7.5-8).
This beauty was mined in Nigeria, measures 13.60 x 11.60 x 8.70 mm and weighs a massive 8.65 carats!! It is cut in a fancy cushion cut which shows off the absolute clarity (VVS) of this stone.
