Currier and Ives Vtg Frosted Glasses. Vintage early 1950s Currier & Ives Frosted Glasses by Royal China for Gay Fad. These were hand decorated by Gay Fad Studio artists on Hazel Atlas blanks. The names of the glasses are in accordance with the Currier & Ives prints which these glasses are based. You'll note that the bottom of the glasses are also frosted, a feature of Gay Fad which had very high standards. These glasses were introduced in 1950. All scenes are in full color and surrounded by brown filigree, with “Currier & Ives” at the bottom inside the filgree.
Measures 5 1/2" tall x 3" diameter and holds 1 1/2 cups beverage. Mid Century era Currier & Ives collectible. Very nice.
