HERE’S AN UNCOMMON and VERY DESIRABLE 1861 CIVIL WAR ANTI-CONFEDERATE PRESIDENT JEFF DAVIS JACKASS COMICAL UNION PATRIOTIC COVER DESCRIPTION: A multicolored "Jeff Davis Going and Returning from War" cartoon, shows Davis returning as a jackass when turned upside down. One of the nicest examples of this desirable design I’ve encountered. The cover bears the printer’s mark: “Entered, according to Act of Congress, in the year 1861, by E. Rogers, in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court of the United States, in and for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania,” measures 5¼” x 3," and is in Very Fine Condition, complete with backflap.
