This is a vintage religious print depicting the Crucifixion of Christ, set in an ornate, dark wooden frame. The print shows Jesus on the cross, surrounded by figures including soldiers and mourners.
The image depicts the biblical scene of the crucifixion at Golgotha, or Calvary, a site outside Jerusalem.
The text at the bottom of the print is in German.
The print is housed in a heavily carved, possibly Gothic Revival style, wooden frame.
The artwork is to be an antique devotional piece. The width is 5 1/2” and 6 1/2” length has flowers on this very old frame. Does have some defects as you can see I picture on the frame. Very very old
