Antique Americana Patriotic Plate, Z. S. & Co. Bavaria Washington Crossing the Delaware.
The Z.S. & Co., Bavaria was founded in 1880 by Johann Zeh & Johann Scherzer and existed until 1992.
This wonderful and rare Washington Crossing the Delaware plate, circa 1910, is one of many designs used by the Z.S. & Co. The back-stamp includes "Empire" plus the company mark. The transfer art is original to the plate and was taken from the famous 1851 painting by Emanuel Leutze.
In good antique condition, this has been used and displayed and has signs of wear. See photos for a complete description. There are some spots of color fading due to age. Still a beautiful piece of Americana art. Size: 10 inches across.
