Antique 14kt White Gold & Carnelian Ring

This gorgeous ring is a carnelian in a 14kt white gold filigree Art Nouveau style setting and is originally from Italy where it was designed and sold in the earliest part of the 1900s (circa 1905-1915). A beautiful and unique design indicative of the latter part of the Victorian Era and early part of the Edwardian Era, this style is often incorrectly identified as Art Deco, when it’s actually earlier than the Art Deco design that gained popularity in the 1920s. The beautiful filigree design was especially popular with young Italian women pre-WWI and many Italian American families have an heirloom ring like this in the family.
