American Girl Kirsten’s Summer Dress and Straw Hat

Kirsten's Summer Dress and Straw Hat (later known as Kirsten's Summer Dress or Kirsten's Summer Outfit when the hat was removed) was introduced to Kirsten's Collection in 1988, modified in 2008, and retired in 2009. Blue and off-white striped short-sleeved drop-shouldered cotton dress. Square high neckline. White piping at shoulder seams and cuffs of sleeves. Gathered waist band with horizontal stripe layout. Front false placket and front seam. Five cream two-hole oval concentric-style buttons: three on bodice, one on waist, and one below. Back of bodice has diagonal shoulder seams. Two tucked up "growth stripes" at bottom of dress. Plain hem. Straw boater hat. Round hat with low crown and wide brim. Black ribbon trim around crown and tied in bow. Attached decorative cherries with three-leaf gathering on bow of hat. Included are Kirsten’s red faux leather lace-up boots. Brown laces. Black soles. Please note that the bottom button is missing.
