Beautiful vintage collection of eight original Japanese calligraphy “shikishi” boards, each hand-brushed in black sumi ink on thick gold-edged paper.

Most are signed and stamped by Suifu Chikako, a Japanese calligrapher active during the late Showa to early Heisei era (1980s–1990s).

Each piece features elegant Zen-style writing and includes the artist’s red seal stamp. The backs of several boards include handwritten Japanese inscriptions and dates, likely marking dedications or presentation notes from the same period.

Themes include:
• “Ichigo Ichie” (一期一会) – “One time, one meeting,” a classic Zen proverb about treasuring each encounter.
• “Shō ni ima no iro utsuru” (松に古今の色映し) – a poetic phrase referencing pine and timeless beauty.
• “Sei” (成) – meaning success, completion, or achievement.
