Even as mechanization progresses in India, this material is made with a focus on hand-spun and hand-woven techniques.
The transparency of the fabric, which allows air to pass through, has a unique texture unlike any other. As you wear and wash it repeatedly, it gradually becomes softer and more supple.
The cutwork on the collar and sleeves is modeled after the carefully sewn lace of the past.
