In the 1930s colored glassware became the rage. Everything from inexpensive Depression Glass in pastel shades to more desirable and more expensive deep and rich jewel tones like this set in Amethyst from Cambridge Glass.
The "Aurora" line was introduced at the very onset of the decade (1930) and came in 10 different colors!
This set of 4 cocktail or champagne coupes was one of them. The color is just stunning. It ranges from amethyst (a lighter purple) to a deep purple depending on the light. But in any light, they are gorgeous.
That eye catching Nick and Nora bowl sits atop a gorgeous clear faceted ball stem and foot. They measure 4.5" tall and 4" in diameter at the rim. They have a generous 5 oz capacity.
