Beautiful serving dish by Serge Nekrasoff
Made in the 1940s
Signed on bottom “Nekrasoff”
4.75 inches Diameter / 1/2 inch High

Russian-born artist, Serge Nekrassoff (1895-1995), relocated to Darien, CT in the 1930s where he primarily made enamel works using pewter. By the ’40s, with pewter in short-supply, he turned to copper for a base for his enamel art. This decorative bowl (circa late 1940s) features Nekrassoff’s signature solid color (blue in this example) with delicate branches, white flowers and a yellow bird perched. Beautiful intricate detail in this rare piece.
