PLASCOFED Celebrates 2023 International Cooperative Day Amidst Funfair

The Plateau State Cooperative Federation Ltd. (PLASCOFED), in collaboration with the State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Cooperatives, hosted the 2023 #CoopsDay amidst fun-fair in the state as Cooperatives and Cooperators were happy to celebrate this year’s event with themselves.

The event flow started on DAY ONE. Thursday, 6th July, with a courtesy call to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Plateau State by the CFN President High Chief Ayeola who led the delegation that comprises the President of PLASCOFED with their Board members to seek support for the movement in the state and conclude plans to visit the governor the next day.

On DAY TWO, which is on Friday, 7th of July, they were able to visit the governor and make advocacy for the Cooperatives in the state. An Investiture as CFN Patron was made to the Governor of Plateau State His Excellency Hon Barr. Caleb Mutfwang By the CFN President in the association of the ministry officials, PLASCOFED Board members, and other dignitaries.

DAY THREE. On Saturday, July 8th, Members of several Cooperative Societies gathered by 8 am from the state secretariat flyover junction and walked to Rwang Pam Stadium the venue for the International Cooperative Day occasion.

At the stadium, there were match pasts from Cooperators, Band sets, and Trumpet playing for all to dance to the melodious tunes dished out by the band guys and various cooperative societies exhibiting their goods and services for sale. Goodwill messages were delivered by key stakeholders and there were jubilations amongst all the participants who all were adorned in different uniforms made for the celebration of the International Cooperative Day.
