OGSCOFED Present its Renewed Efforts on Cooperatives to UNIDO and ITPO

…seeks opportunities for collaborations with the development partners

On Friday, 18th of August, 2023, the President of Ogun State Cooperative Federation Limited (OGSCOFED), Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye attended a meeting over a dinner alongside his Executive Secretary, Mr. David I. Ayelabola.

Alhaji Olaleye was invited by the Representative of the United Nations Industrial Organisation. (UNIDO), Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Germany. The delegation was led by Michael Schmidt (Deputy Head of Office UNIDO, ITPO Germany) and Robin Kuranel (an Associate Expert) supported by Mr. Adekunle Olusile (UNIDO, ITPO Nigeria).

Government officials and private sectors were invited to the meeting. OGSCOFED was able to present its renewed efforts on Farmers, Women, and Youth Cooperative development in the State.

This meeting is in preparation for a conference coming up in November 2023.

Also, in attendance at the event were Mr. Olalere Ariyibi, (Director of Commerce, Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment), Engr. Mike Akingbade (President, Ogun State Chambers of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA)), Lara Babatunde from Ogun Invest, and other invited guests.

The OGSCOFED President used the program opportunity as an avenue to showcase and enlighten the attendees about the activities of Ogun State Cooperative Federation (OGSCOFED) Ltd. and seek further collaborations with the development partners.
