Coop National Hygiene Initiative: Students Urged to Prioritize Regular Body Hygiene – Ogungbangbe
In a bid to promote good hygiene practices among students, the Honourable Commissioner of Cooperatives and Empowerment, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe (fcssm), delivered an engaging lecture titled “Talk on the Need for Students to Keep Regular Body Hygiene.” The event was organized by the Cooperative Rating and Award Society of Nigeria.(CRASoN) in collaboration with Cooperative Support Services (CoopSupport) and the Ministry of Cooperatives and Empowerment, Osun State. The CSR project took place at Kings and Queens Academy in Osogbo
The Commissioner’s lecture focused on the significance of maintaining regular body hygiene as a crucial aspect of personal development. With an audience comprising eager students, educators, and administrators. His speech emphasized the importance of cleanliness and its impact on overall health and well-being.
During his address, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe stressed that good hygiene is essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing the spread of infectious diseases. He highlighted key practices like regular handwashing, maintaining oral hygiene, taking daily showers, and wearing clean clothing as vital habits that students should adopt to protect themselves and others.
As the lecture came to a close, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe encouraged the students to take responsibility for their hygiene and act as ambassadors for positive change within their communities. He reiterated that small actions, such as maintaining cleanliness and proper hygiene, can have a remarkable impact on one’s health and society at large.
Furthermore, the President of the Cooperative Rating and Award Society of Nigeria, Mr Victor Oyegoke, acknowledged Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe’s commitment to promoting hygiene practices and expressed their gratitude for his presence at the event. They also commended his efforts to create awareness among students and empower them to lead healthier lives.
As the event concluded, students departed with renewed determination to implement the Commissioner’s teachings in their daily lives, ensuring a healthier and safer future for themselves and their communities.
The Highlight was when the Honorable Commissioner made a gift presentation of the Hygiene Kit (Bathing Soaps, ToothBrush & Toothpastes, Shaving Sticks, and Menstrual Pads) to the kids and some of the staff of the school that were present at the occasion.
The School Vice President gives the vote of thanks to the Honorable Commissioner for finding time out of his busy schedule to come educate the students and give them gifts through CRASoN and CoopSupport. Also, the representative of the students spoke at the event thanking the commissioner and CRASoN reconfirming what they have learned from the commissioner’s talk, and promising to begin keeping to them regularly.
