Hon. Jamiu Lawal is contesting for the position of LASCOFED Treasurer in the upcoming AGM/Congress of the Lagos State Cooperative Federation (LASCOFED). He is contesting based on the fact that he has the Competence, Capacity, Character, and Capabilities to function very well in that position because it is more or less what he has done every day within the last 15 years of his working career and he will ensure proper accountability, transparency and financial frugality to help expand the asset base and balance sheet size of LASCOFED using all professional experiences as a chartered account and Practising Cooperator.

The Lagos State Cooperative Federation (LASCOFED) Limited, the Umbrella body of all Cooperative Societies and Unions in Lagos State will be having its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Congress 2024 scheduled to hold on Thursday 8th of August 2024 at the LASCOFED Secretariat situated at Plot 17, Isaacstan Close, off Wempco Road, Off Agindingbi Road, Ogba Industrial Scheme, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos State.

Professional Profile:

Hon. Jamiu Lawal is a seasoned accounting professional, finance expert, and cooperative leader with 14 years of experience. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI).

Leadership Experience:

– Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO), Alpha Morgan Capital Group ()

– Non-Executive Director Japhat Farms Limited

– President, NLPC Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (2017-2021)

– President, Somolu Multipurpose Cooperative Union (2020-present)

– Board Member, Lagos State Cooperative Federation (LASCOFED)

– Won Lagos State Awards for NLPC Cooperative Multipurpose Society in 2017 and 2019

– Won National Award as Most Outstanding Cooperative Union President in Nigeria in 2022

– Grew NLPC Cooperative’s total Assets Under Management (AUM) from ₦190M to ₦500M
