Akwa Ibom State: Federal Department of Cooperatives Seeks Stakeholders Synergy

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mrs Enobong Udeme Mbobo today 18th May, 2023 played host to the Staff of the Federal Department of Cooperatives in her Office.

The team which was led by Mrs. Glory Donatus, briefed the representatives of Cooperative Societies who were present at the event on the plans of the Federal Department of Cooperatives concerning Cooperators in the State and sued for concrete synergy.

Responding, the Honourable Commissioner, welcomed the team, appreciated their plans, and promised to offer them all the necessary assistance as the team was billed to be taken around the State to meet with the apex cooperatives and also inspect the cooperative integrated center at Ibesikpo Asutan LGA, built by Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Abuja.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Grace Jim thanked the team for extending their plans to accommodate the State Cooperators. She called on the various Cooperatives Societies to work together towards the betterment of the Cooperators.

The event had in attendance Directors of the Ministry, the President of AKOFED, Elder Jonah, members of Aks Cooperative Financing Agency, Secretary AKS Micro Credits/Loans, Mr. Monday John, and Representatives of various Cooperatives Societies in the State.
