The Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Lukman Komolafe, said at a news conference that the company was committed to sustainable agriculture and rural development.

“As part of our commitment to sustainable agriculture and rural development, Lukom is thrilled to announce our new initiatives such as Lukom Acres of farmland, Oyo State Farmers Cooperatives and the Lukom Industrial Parks.

“The new initiatives are aimed at expanding agribusiness across Nigeria through partnering with others to achieve our goal and reinvent agriculture in Nigeria to make food affordable,” Komolafe said.

He said that the firm would offer unparalleled opportunities for investors to participate in dynamic and essential industry.

Komolafe further said that the firm would provide aspiring farmers and agribusinesses with access to affordable farmland, resources, security and technical expertise to support their business.

According to him, the company seeks to empower agricultural entrepreneurs to thrive and contribute to food security and rural development.

“I would like to encourage potential investors to consider investing in the Lukom Acres of farmlands because agricultural farmland is the cornerstone of food production and backbone of rural economies.

“Invest in Eja Wa (Our Fish) and Lukom Industrial park.

“I am confident that we can work together to make a positive impact and to ensure a brighter future for Nigeria,” he said.

Komolafe said that the Eja Wa (Our Fish) PPP project with Oyo State Government had recorded success in less than a year.

He said that the project had trained and equipped over 500 fish farmers and facilitated resources from government for some of them.

He stressed the need for partnership in achieving the company’s objectives, saying that no single organisation could do it all.
