LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT PLEDGES STRONG SUPPORT AS HOST OF THE 7TH NIGERIAN NATIONAL COOPERATIVE AWARDS

The build-up to the 7th Nigerian National Cooperative Awards, Symposium & Exhibitions 2025 (#TheChampions – #Lagos2025) has gained fresh momentum as the Advocacy & Mobilization Tour of the organizing team made a strategic stop at the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investments (MCCT&I).
The delegation, led by Hon. Victor Oyegoke, Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture & Food Security (Cooperatives & Farmers’ Welfare), was warmly received by the Director of Cooperatives, Dr. Adeyinka Adeyemi, and the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Mr. Babatunde Onigbanjo, whose receptive leadership and human-centered approach set a positive tone for the engagement.
During the visit, the team presented the full programme outline and highlighted key support areas required from Lagos State as the Host State, including:
Comprehensive logistical support
Security arrangements
Accommodation for the Special Guest of Honour & Keynote Speaker
Publicity and statewide media visibility
Mobilization of cooperators and stakeholders across Lagos
The Permanent Secretary assured the delegation of his commitment to immediately escalate the requests to the Honourable Commissioner. He emphasized the readiness of the State Government to support and cushion the hosting responsibilities to ensure a successful, impactful, and memorable national event for cooperators coming from all parts of Nigeria.
