In line with its vision of becoming “A Global Model Cooperative College,” the Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) has taken another bold step in advancing cooperative education beyond Nigeria’s borders.
The Governing Council Chairman of LASCOCO, Mr. Raji Oyebowale (FCA), recently embarked on a working visit to the Cooperative University of Kenya, aimed at exploring avenues of academic collaboration and partnership between the two institutions.

The high-level engagement focused on strengthening cooperation in key areas of academic development. Both institutions reached an understanding to work towards a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will cover:
Joint curriculum development and exchange
Staff and student exchange programmes
Capacity building and manpower development
Collaborative research and knowledge sharing

This landmark cooperation underscores LASCOCO’s commitment to building international partnerships that enrich cooperative education, foster innovation, and enhance the skills of cooperative professionals across Africa.
By extending its reach to the Cooperative University of Kenya, LASCOCO is positioning itself as a hub for regional and global cooperation in cooperative studies — a move stakeholders believe will significantly contribute to the growth of the cooperative movement in Nigeria and across the continent.
