2024 National Cooperative Awards Unveils, CRASoN Calls for Participation

…Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja to Host the Sixth Edition of the CoopAWARDS
The 6th edition of the Nigerian National Cooperative Awards, Symposium & Exhibitions 2024 has been announced by the Cooperative Rating & Award Society of Nigeria (CRASoN). The event that is annually co-organized with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Food Security (FMAFS)/Federal Department of Cooperatives (FDC) will be hosted this year within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in partnership with the FCTA Agricultural & Rural Development Secretariat/FCT Department of Cooperatives.
Cooperative societies, Cooperators, Individuals and Organizations (Public and Private) working for and with Cooperatives in Nigeria are invited to participate in the event.
Last week on the 30th of March, the CRASoN Office in Lagos State hosted an unveiling event marking the official opening of this year’s National CoopAWARDS. The event began with the revealing of the tagline for the awards, “The Champions – Abuja 2024”, and the theme for this year, “Cooperative Revitalization: A Panacea to Nigeria’s Socio-Economic Quagmire”. The presentation also included a timeline of various events and undertakings that will take place between now and the grand finale day on the 23rd of November 2024, at the Transcorp Hilton, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to a statement by Mrs. Louisa Olaniyi, Director – Media & Publicity of CRASoN, “The call for participation in the CRASoN project CoopCOUNT, CoopCARE Initiative and entries for the National Cooperative Awards nomination is now open up until July 15 for all Cooperators and Cooperative Organizations. It is expected that Cooperators and their cooperative organizations would take this great advantage of the Project to get the desired acknowledgment of their contributions to our nation’s GDP and their role in the global SDGs achievements in making Nigeria and the world a better place”.
MODE OF ENTRY SUBMISSION: All entries MUST be submitted ONLINE at www.crason.coop/entries directly or sent to our email at entries@crason.coop OR crasoncoop@gmail.com on or before 15th of July, 2024 as late entries might not be accepted, except if there is prior information and genuine excuse for late entries.
CRASoN has opened the portal of four award sections with fifty categories for stakeholders in the cooperative sector to nominate themselves. The categories cover a wide range of cooperative activities across all sectors of the economy.
Mr. Victor Oyegoke, the President/CEO of CRASoN, emphasized the importance of mobilizing cooperative societies towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals. He believes in continuing the collaboration with organizations that share their vision of redefining cooperative operations standards in Nigeria. And therefore, calls on several public and private organizations, multinationals and blue chips companies to come support and sponsor their event, in order to achieve its full potentials, purpose and goals.
